PHOENIX, ARIZONA- November 28, 2017 – nFocus Solutions™ published a case study about Hurricane Harvey and the response of Texas Task Force One (TX-TF1) that shows how cities, states and government agencies can ensure that a seamless command structure is in place for effective response and recovery at all levels.
To manage nearly 2,500 rescue workers during Hurricane Harvey, TX-TF1 needed a solution that would enable a unified, real-time command structure across multiple agencies. In the case study, Jeff Saunders, Director of TX-TF 1, and Katie Breland, TX-TF1 Planning Team and Training Manager, report on the ways in which GeoSuite™ bolstered their ability to create a seamless command structure during Hurricane Harvey.
Saunders and Breland highlight key benefits of using GeoSuite and the specific functionality that assisted TX-TF1 and collaborating agencies in performing more than 12,000 rescues, along with thousands of evacuations, welfare checks and animal rescues. Saunders describes the quick access to life-saving historical data provided by GeoSuite as “a huge success story,” and expresses his vision of “a seamless command structure in which GeoSuite is used by all emergency responders, every time.”
“GeoSuite can cut search and rescue times in half, which means more lives are saved,” stated Ananda Roberts, President of nFocus Solutions. “A common operating picture is essential during and after catastrophic events, both for operations and reporting purposes.”
