United
Way Projects
nFocus Software is
currently involved with three United Way pilot projects dealing specifically
with outcome measurement. The projects are being conducted in Phoenix, Atlanta,
and Boston. KidTrax was selected as the software tool for data collection and

The Piper Trust and
Valley of the Sun United Way Evaluative Learning Project
The
Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust (the Piper Trust) and Valley of the Sun
United Way are collaborating on an evaluative learning project with a group of
seven non-profit agencies providing afterschool care in Maricopa County,
Arizona. All participating organizations are grantees of both the Piper Trust
and Valley of the Sun United Way.

United Way of
Metropolitan Atlanta APAS Pilot
The
United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta partnered with the Georgia Department of
Human Resources, the Governor's Office for Children and Families, and a local
family foundation to fund a pilot involving 15 sites in the metropolitan Atlanta
area. The pilot, which started in July of this year, was developed to provide a
methodology to create common youth outcomes across funding sources and to
demonstrate program value based on specific outcomes at the agency
level.

United Way of
Massachusetts Bay
and Merrimack Valley
APAS Pilot
The
United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley funded a National Institute
of Out-of-School Time (NIOST) Afterschool Program Assessment System (APAS) pilot
project that began in October 2007. The initial pilot involved eight sites.
